I Wonder Why it's Always Pumpkins

I feel like other fruit or vegetable rinds would make excellent jack-o-lanterns, now that we only keep 'em around for a week or so.

For example, the summerfruit watermelon. I think next year, for my late-June birthday, we'll have a watermelon eating contest, but you'll have to eat what you can in teams of 4 with spoons out of a rind. Then we'll carve 'em afterwards!

'Kay bye.

  1. So this is what you do all day.

(I think it's not watermelons because they are so water-y. I just look at that and think 'sticky mess'—good thing you've got that bag underneath...)

  2. I think I'm going to put the bag under any variety of Jack-O-Lantern I make from now on. I suspect it'll make clean-up a right lot quicker!
